There is no set limit of images. I don’t limit what I take and what I share with you. Most sessions usually run 75-100+ images, but it depends on how long the session is, how many people are in the sessions, how many locations, AND how cooperative everyone is during the session. I love photographing expressions so if you have an animated child, there will be more images. I also don’t limit the amount of poses – I love getting mom with each kiddo and dad with each kiddo and all the combinations I can to make sure that your session really embraces it all. 

The location is something that we can decide on together. If you have a location in mind already or want to use your own house/land, that’s great. If you don’t, I will recommend a variety of places depending on the vibe/look that you are hoping to achieve with your photos.

Yes! I love to. Anything 30 miles or less from Troutman, NC is included. If you are looking for something farther, just contact me before booking to make sure that we allot enough travel time.

Sometimes, but not too often these days. Weddings used to be my main genre of photography, but with two active kids in sports, it’s hard to find open weekends to accommodate a full wedding. If you are interested in wedding photography, just send me a message. If I’m not available, I will be sure to share some recommendations with you.

This is the most common question I receive. Complimentary colors are always best. The days of everyone wearing the same white shirt with jeans is a thing of the past. I recommend picking out one of the family members outfits and then find coordinating outfits for the rest of the family. Choose colors to that stand out from the background that you are choosing. If you are doing fall photos with the yellow leaves, I would avoid yellow, but lean towards fall colors, such as reds, greens, browns. I would also recommend not everyone wearing a loud or busy print, however a few members of the family can. This is where the complimentary colors come in handy. I recommend showing off your personality with who you are. You can bring more than one outfit along with you. If you wear athletic clothes most of the time, feel free to show that off. I would also bring along an outfit that is just a little bit “dressy” than you normally wear – but that doesn’t mean it has to be dressy. Show off your personality. Don’t be afraid to try new patterns or designs if you like being bold and normally like color. I will work with you based on your locations to make sure they don’t clash. Although I don’t have an assistant on staff, depending on the need, I can and will hire additional photography assistants. Occasionally you will find my kids (16 and 13) accompany me if needed. They are great helpers and can make the kids smile sometimes even better than I can.

Yes! You are able to purchase prints directly through our professional lab. I also offer a variety of products, such as custom graduation and thank you cards, canvases, albums, etc. All of these products will be listed on the site very soon!
